The independent music label Quasilectric based in Nordrhein-Westfalen will distribute their releases physical and digital via H’art from now on. The young musician MÄNNI will be the first priority release with his debut album “Alkohol & Melancholie”, which will be available at March 10th.
Music business legend Richard Weize passed on his life work and worldwide recognized re-issue label Bear Family Records after 41 years. With his new label Richard Weize Archives he set up a smaller Version at the age of 71. With his passion for music it’s his mission in life to release rarities from Country, Bluegrass, Blues to Rock’n’Roll and for that he won the “Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik” multiple times. H’art will distribute the releases worldwide physical and has started with Alexis Korner/Tony Sheridan/Steve Baker „The RIAS Session-Live In Berlin June 1981“ successfullyin December. Further new releases like Frankie Miller, Cab Calloway and Billy Mize will be released on vinyl shortly.
Sound Factory is also new and will extend the portfolio with a huge catalogue of vinyl and CD products. This also means to introduce the vinyl label Vinyl Passion, which is focused on re-issues of outstanding and well known records and musicians. The first recent releases are major musicians like Nana Mouskouri or Dave Brubecks „Bernstein plays Brubeck plays Bernstein“, which has been released early in February this year.
Continental from the Netherlands will release physical and digital via H’art from now on as well. The label is specialized on Blues and Americana and the label also works as a distribution for several labels like Continental Blue Heaven, Horton Records based in Oklahoma, Stony Plane in Canada and Train Wreck, which is owned by the American songwriter Chip Taylor and based in New York. The first priority release is Meena Cryle & The Chris Fillmore Band with “In Concert” via Continental Blue Heaven.
The collaboration with the New York label Dot Time Records started in February and it is focused on Jazz, Soul and Worldmusic. The new signings are Amit Friedman, who is currently the most successful composer and saxophonist from Israel as well as the bass player Robert Hurt III from the USA.
From the beginning of 2017 there are two new cooperation partners exclusive for Switzerland. The Concord Music Group enriches H’art as a successful and established partner. The company owns several labels like Concord Records, Concord Jazz, Fantasy Records etc. Their portfolio includes lots of gold-, platinum- and multi-platinum releases as well as two diamond records and all in all 243 Grammy winner; among them well known bands and musicians like Ray Charles, John Coltrane, Creed, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Mils Davis, Evanescence, Paul McCartney and much more. The collaboration has started with the release from Joan Baez „75th Birthday Celebration“ in June last year and the catalogue is available since January this year.
SWR music as a partner of NAXOS Deutschland GmbH will be distributed via H’art since February 1st in Switzerland. It is the first owned label of ARD and includes recordings of classic music as well as big band Jazz. The new label SWR jazzhaus offers releases with live concerts from the archives of the Südwestrundfunk in Stuttgart, Baden-Baden and Mainz.
